- Social media is changing every department at every company. It’s not just marketing — it’s all communications, HR, customer service, and everything else. Which means every department needs to hire for social media skills. You have a great career advantage if you can deliver that.
- If you want to be taken seriously as someone with social media skills, you have to show what you can do, not just talk about it. You need an awesome Facebook page, a real blog, and something worth reading on Twitter. Prove you’re for real.
- The single best way to be great at social media is be a great writer. Write well, spell well. Be interesting and brief. All social media success comes from your words.
