Are you asking them to follow you?

IMG_0286Before you burn out your time and money on some ultra-clever campaign to get Facebook and Twitter followers … did you try to just ask your customer to follow you?

I love this photo of a soda machine at Wahoo’s Fish Tacos that asks you to follow them — while you’re standing there filling a soda with your phone in hand.

Everyone is amazed at the zillion followers that the CEO of Zappos has. How did he get them? When you place an order, there is a big button on the confirmation screen that says Follow Me.

It’s that easy.

    Great post. Sometimes the simple, obvious solution of asking for what one wants, such as following one on twitter, is the one that’s missed.
