Make sure your fans are fully loaded with the tools they need to recommend you

Word of mouth comes when you least expect it. You never know when a fan is going to suddenly want to recommend you.

Advice:  Make sure they have stuff to share, wherever they are, whenever they want it.

  • If they want to wear you logo on a hat or a shirt or a sticker — make sure they have hats, shirts, and stickers.
  • If fans want to talk about you on MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter — make sure they have an easy-to-share item on MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter.
  • If your fans want to forward your commercials on YouTube — make sure all your commercials are on YouTube.

Lesson: Never miss a word of mouth moment because your fan didn’t have the tools to talk about you.
