Sad story #1:

Tried to buy insurance from a broker that I really like.

It would have lead to a lot of other business for them. But some IT guy in their office who is stuck in 1998 set a limit on the size of email attachments they can receive. So I can’t return the forms to him.

I’m not mad, I’m just not impressed, and I’m sure not going to do extra work to do business with a company that makes extra work for me. So I went elsewhere.

Sad story #2:

Moved our business to a new bank that I really like.

They sent me one one of these keychain security password things — which I have to keep with me — and this giant check scanner. My old bank just texts the security code to me and lets me make deposits with my phone.

I’m not mad, I’m just not impressed, and I’m sure not going to do extra work to do business with a company that makes extra work for me. So I went elsewhere.
