Defensive Domains Names

Domain names matter. You brand is important — but your domain is the version of your brand that gets typed every day by potential customers. Get it wrong, and no one will ever find you.

It’s not enough to get a good domain. You need to get the related domains too. It’s how you defend your name.

If you have a plural, a competitor is going to buy the singular version and steal your customers. If you have a hyphen, someone will buy the non-hyphenated version.

Or someone is just going to mess with you.

Check out this hysterical example that happened because Guy Fieri forgot to buy the full domain for his new restaurant, Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar.

Real URL: http://www.guysamerican.com
