Q: How do you get someone to stick your logo on the wall?

stanley sticker

A: Make it useful

Pretty much every automated door has a sticker like this one — with the Stanley brand name right up top. Day after day, that logo sinks in — especially when you’re shopping for tools.

Buying intrusive advertising is wrong. I don’t want your ads on all my stuff.

But if you’re helpful, and give me the free stickers I need to solve a problem, I’m going to use your stickers.

Lesson: What’s a helpful, relevant way to get your customers to display your logo (without forcing them)?

I’m not so sure about this one. I’ve NEVER noticed that it says Stanley on handicapped buttons before.

So that means that either the ones near me don’t actually have the Stanley logo on them, or I “look through” the logo. If it’s the latter, how effective is the advertising?
