Reduce stress on your team with one simple step

Have everyone turn email offline during the weekend.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work on email, just don’t actually send your messages. Wait until Monday morning.

Every single message you send instantly slams your colleagues back into work mode — taking away their much-needed time to reflect, recharge, or work on their own weekend projects. If you’re a supervisor, it’s worse.

Setting a “don’t check your email on weekends” policy doesn’t help if you’re all shooting messages at each other. The culture is the opposite of the policy.

Don’t worry. Everything can wait. If it’s really urgent, send a text.

Andy, this is a simple and smart idea. Write the email, don’t send it until Monday morning. Why lasso your staff into work mode, when they should be recharging? Why run the risk of sending an email that may hijack an employee away from his family. Well done!

It’s lovely way to refresh all the team specially when we work under pressure.
I like it and I’ll try it on my own team
