Word of mouth can overcome a lot of obstacles

There is a great sushi restaurant in Austin called DK Sushi. Great chef with personality, amazing food, fun cooking classes, and a store full of hard-to-find Japanese food items.

But the outside of the building looks abandoned. I’ve driven past it 100 times, not even realizing that it was still in business.

Until a friend recommended we try it — and I’m happy that we did. And I’ll tell others. DK has a ton of great word of mouth, and earns it through great service, fun promotions, and amazing food.

You can’t always fix everything about your business, but you can keep working to encourage your customers to spread the word.
