There are three 7-Eleven stores within two blocks of my office. Every so often, they do something that gets everyone talking about them.
This time it’s the "7-Election" campaign, where you cast a vote for Obama or McCain when you choose your coffee cup. Not scientific, but a lot of fun. Kudos to 7-Eleven for a super-simple web site where you can check the results.
Most important: Everyone talks about it. They carry the cups back to the office, they joke about their choice (and their co-workers’ choices), and they debate if there’s any validity to the results.
Ask yourself this question: What can I do that guarantees that everyone who walks out of my door will talk about me to the next person they see?
