But when you think about it, it’s just a 5%-15% discount.

How you phrase an offer makes all the difference in how people respond. Free money sounds exciting. But a discount is hardly news, and it may cheapen a luxury brand like Saks.

To do: Test different offers, language, and presentation until you find the one with the best response.
