Email standards are slipping

imageeBay suddenly started sending a “Daily Deals” email to all their customers.

I’m sure their lawyers found some loophole in the terms of service that says they can email you whenever they want.

But it’s unasked for, and unwanted, and that’s spam.

I don’t want an email from them every day. They know that I don’t want an email from them every day. But they are going to send it anyway because they hope that .001% of people will buy despite the annoyance.

Which is exactly the logic that spammers use when they send 100 million penis pill offers hoping .001% are dumb enough to buy.

Are you willing to piss off 50% of your customers to sell to .001% of them?

eBay, you’re better than this.
