How to know if you should be an entrepreneur

If you don’t find Inc. Magazine completely fascinating and relevant to you, you’re probably not right for the entrepreneurial life.

Norm Brodsky, Jason Fried, Leigh Buchanan, Meg Hirshberg, and Jane Berentson talk about the minutia of life in a small business. The tiniest things.

Which, of course, is what it’s all about. Entrepreneurship isn’t about big vision and grand strategy. It’s about waking up each day and making the next little choice about the next little thing. Choose mostly right — you win.

Entrepreneurship is a kayak, not an aircraft carrier. If you want grand vision and big strategy, go work at a big company with big toys and big decisions. If the little things don’t fascinate you, you won’t be happy in a little company.
