crayfish partyIKEA may be the one company that best demonstrates the word of mouth philosophy. Every time you visit they give you a new reason to talk about them.

The latest? A crayfish party, a $9.99 all-you-can-eat crayfish buffet. Sit-down meal, tickets required, decorations, and a live band.

Hundreds of people showed up in the store near me. Thousands of shoppers walked by.

Everyone will be talking about it for years. (And IKEA probably made a profit on the stunt.)
