Who is in charge of being nice to little kids?

TigerbreadWhat do you do if a little kid writes a nice letter to your company? Smile at it and pass it around the office? Ignore it?

Do something fantastic — and turn their whole family into fans for life. And if you’re lucky, it’ll go viral, like this amazing example from Sainsbury’s.

Craig Carter at Ignite Social Media writes:

In addition to being an extremely kind gesture, the letter gained a huge amount of good press. It was on the front page of Reddit all day and was covered by numerous blogs. Most importantly, that letter probably made life-long customers out of the family and in all likelihood turned them into huge brand advocates, all for about $5 and some postage.
