How to save $10.5 billion

Let UPS do the next U.S. census.

When the government did it, it cost $11 billion and took 1 million workers.

UPS is already going to pretty much every house in America. Each driver already has a portable computer that can collect the data.

There are 114,825,428 U.S. households.

Give UPS $5 each, and the total cost of the census will be $574 million, a 95% savings.

    That’s the power of questions.

“How can the government most efficiently run the census?”

    Compared to…

“What would be the most cost effective way to gather this information?”

And in your example, even if it was DOUBLE what you estimate….

    Hands down, much more EFFECTIVE.
