Reviews and word of mouth

I just finished a webinar with Brett Hurt, CEO of BazaarVoice.  They provide the product review engine for top ecommerce sites.  I am a major fan (and shareholder) – every online shopping site needs to talk to them. Nearly 200 people were on the call.

They were kind enough to post the slides to SlideShare, so here they are. Some is my usual stuff that you may have seen, but there is a lot more content and detail on the topic of consumer reviews and user-generated content.  Enjoy.

    Andy –
    Thanks for the post. I was not aware of Slideshare. Looks like a great way to get the word out quickly and inexpensively.
    When I met you in Indianapolis we discussed how to start a dialog around specific topics. An area of professional interest is head lice. Something I didn’t know anything about a year ago. I have boys and never had the panic of having to deal with lice when they were younger.
    I’d like to get a good professional discussion about head lice started with doctors, nurses, parents etc.
    I started a blog Head Lice – Horrors and Heroics at and would very much like help from you and your community.
    1) Please give me feedback on the blog and how to make it better. I’m a rookie at this.
    2) Please pass the blog around to friends (pediatricians, school nurses, daycare center administrators etc.) that may have a story and/or a comment they would like to share.
    I’ll drop you a line once in a while and let you know how it is going.
